Sea Donkeys Dive Club: Membership

Give SCUBA a go with a Try-Dive for just £10 which includes your air cylinder, all the gear you'll need and the help of our divemasters and instructors.

You will be given an expert and safe introduction to SCUBA diving and after completing some basic skills you can explore the exciting and amazing feelings of being under the water!

Please note that you must fill in a Medical Form and a Liability Release Form before you will be able to take your Try-Dive.

Come to a pool session with the Sea Donkeys dive club!

Just £5 (non-members with a valid diving certification £8) covers your pool costs and an air fill! Meet at Portadown Cascades Swimming pool at 7.30pm each Friday night.

If you need equipment, please arrange this before hand as we have limited numbers of kit available.

Members may book out club gear by completing a booking form. A sample form is shown below. These booking forms can be located in a folder with the gear at the storage location. It is advisable to complete a booking form as soon as you have decided to go diving, as the gear books out FAST, and it is booked out on a first come, first served basis. Usually one of the committee members will complete this form for you if they have contacted you about a dive trip they are organizing. This committee member also then checks the returned gear, placing it back into the storage unit. The booking form is then used by the Treasurer to record payment for the diving. If, however, you are planning your own separate diving, then please remember to complete this booking form yourself.

Full Kit Hire

£10 per day
(Includes: Mask, Fins, Boots, Semi-dry, BCD, Regulators, Weight belt & weights, Gloves, Hood - Air and boat costs not included.)

Partial Kit Hire

Members requiring individual items will be charged per item as detailed below. A maximum of £10 is charged ie if the total of individual items exceeds £10, the member will only be charged £10.

Air Fills

Although two dives are usually planned per day, it is not compulsory to complete both dives, some members may prefer one dive per day.

Transport

A contribution is welcomed towards the transport costs of members and gear. The value of this contribution depends on the location of the dive site. Suggested prices are within the range £5 (Strangford Lough etc.) - £10 (Donegal etc.)

NON-MEMBERS will pay a 50% surcharge on the above prices.
